比較的かんたんな英単語をつかっています。

今回紹介するのは、English with Freddie というチャンネルの、
What is the weather like in England?
という動画です。
イギリスの四季についてのエッセイで、
天気や季節に関係するボキャブラリーと発音を学べます。
今回の動画の発音のポイント
このスクリプトを音読するときの、発音の注意点を列挙します。
I will の発音
「アイ、ウィル」ではなく、
「アイル」「アゥル」と、短縮形みたいになってます。
can の発音
口の奥で発音する、いわゆる（？）イギリス英語の can です。
tr は、チェ、チュ系の発音
これも定番なので、注意しましょう。スペルに tr が来たら、チェ や チュ と発音されます。
country は「カントリー」ではなく「カンチュリ」
tree は「ツリー」ではなく「チュリ」です。
scarf の複数形の発音
複数形は scarves ですが、「スカーヴツ」というより「スカーツ」に聞こえます。ヴの音はほとんど聞こえません。
now and then の発音
「ナウ、アン、ゼン」ではなく「ナゥ、ネン」と聞こえます。
and → n になって、次の then と一体化してて、ネンになってます。th がほとんど消えて聞こえません。

文の構造もわからない、
知らない単語はそのまま、
発音もいい加減になってしまう
こんな感じで、せっかく音読しても、効果が殆どありません。
まず
スクリプトだけで音読しながら、
知らない単語やあやしい発音を何回も練習するようにしましょう。

Autumn is from September to November. In autumn, the weather starts to cool down.
The leaves on the trees change colour and fall to the ground.
It can be very windy and rainy in autumn. People wear jackets.
Winter is from December to February.
Winter is the coldest season in England.
It can rain a lot, and occasionally it snows.
The days are short and dark.
People wear warm clothes like coats, scarves, and gloves.
Some places might get frost or ice on the ground.
